Careers Prospects 发展领域

Following successful completion of the medical degree, graduates are eligible for provisional registration by the Malaysian Medical Council and undergo a two-year compulsory internship as house-offices in accredited government hospitals.

After satisfactory serving the internship, they are then eligible for full registration and undertake a further 2 years of compulsory service at any government or public university hospitals or accredited medical centres as a medical officer.

After completing the compulsory service, the medical doctors can either continue as medical officers in government service or venture into private practice.

If they are interested to become a medical specialist, they can pursue a postgraduate degree, the clinical masters, for another 4 years. Furthermore, they can further subspecialise into a particular clinical discipline with additional 3 years of subspecially training. For those who are more interested in research, they can pursue a PhD or Doctorate of Medicine degree, after their basic degree.
