Entry Requirement 入学要求

Entry requirements
Holders of the following qualifications will be considered for entry onto UWE Bristol undergraduate courses:
• Unified Examination Certificate (UEC) with 5Bs is required for Year 1 entry
• Canadian Pre-University (CPU) - 60% in six advanced-level Grade 12 U, U/C or M subjects (including grade 12 U English)
• Australian Pre-University, University of Queensland (IES) - pass in foundation year with Credit of 65-74%
• South Australian Matriculation (SAM) pass with 65-70%
• Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysian (STPM) - with principal passes (grades A-C) in three subjects.


Please note: for final year entry the English requirements are an IELTS 6.5 overall with no components below 5.5 or IELTS 6.0 overall with no more than one component below 5.5.

The requirements listed above are the minimum requirements for entrance to UWE Bristol; competitive courses may have higher requirements.

English language requirements
To study at UWE Bristol you must demonstrate that your English level is high enough for university study. We accept a number of different Secure English Language Tests (SELT) for entry onto our degree courses, with IELTS being the most common. English language requirements vary slightly from subject to subject.

We also accept the following local qualification (please note this may vary for some courses):

• Malaysian SPM: English Language Syllabus 1119 - Grades 1–6.

What to do if you don't meet our entry requirements
If you do not quite meet our entry requirements, our International College offers a range of university preparation courses to teach you all you need to progress to UWE Bristol. We also have a pre-sessional English language course to get your English skills up to the standard required for entry to UWE Bristol.

This course is an ideal launch pad for a career in government (for example the Government Economic Service), banking, finance, management, accountancy, marketing, corporate finance, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), charities and postgraduate studies.

Previous graduates have gone on to work as economists in the Government Economic Service, including the Treasury and the Home Office; in finance and banking for organisations such as Lloyds Banking Group, HSBC and Goldman Sachs; and as economists and analysts across industry and the retail sector.
